Mill Creek Kennels is owned and operated by Mike and Shirley Simmons. Our roots began training Gun Dog/Hunting Retrievers, UKC/AKC Hunt Tests, and Field Trials. In addition to the Retriever Program, we offer Basic Obedience for the Pet Owner and offer one of the most unique and modernized Boarding facilities in the region for all breeds! Our beautiful country surroundings, 100 acre training farm, and indoor temperature controlled kennel accommodations, truly offer a pet paradise.

Only eighteen miles northeast of Jackson, we are centrally located in Cedar Grove, Tennessee in the Terry Farming Community. Convenient to Milan, Medina, Huntingdon, Lexington, McKenzie, Paris, and Martin.

Mill Creek Kennels is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce, and an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Training and Testing Facility. Mike trains retrievers for hunting and competition field events. He also holds certifications in Canine Training and Behavior Techniques, and is an AKC approved Canine Good Citizen Trainer and Evaluator. Mike’s wife Shirley and the facility staff constantly update their continuing education units as Pet Care Technicians. Mill Creek Kennels utilizes this knowledge to enhance the training and special care of your retriever and boarded companion. Our commitment to your pet’s health, safety, and comfort is our utmost priority.
